Warranty Policy

Standard Warranty

Sierra Aerospace stands behind the quality of our avionics products, including our Flight controllers, GPS Systems, and other Products

This Warranty outlines the terms and conditions governing the warranty for products purchased from our website www.sierraaerospace.in and through RFQ business process.

​

1. Warranty Coverage:

  1. Sierra Aerospace warrants that its products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 6 (six) months from the original date of delivery of products.  

  2. Buyer's purchase orders indicating warranty periods greater than 6 (six) months are not considered and honored due to the nature of the products, the same shall be indicated in our quotations , proforma invoices and GST Invoices.

  3. The delivery date is defined as the date on which the products is delivered to the Buyers location as recorded on the courier tracking page, even if the the package is signed for by security, the front office, or your warehouse, without being collected by the end user of this product.

  4. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of the product, this warranty is not transferable if you sell or handover this product to another person or any other organization.

  5. This warranty covers the repair or replacement, at our sole discretion, of any Products that is found to be defective in materials and workmanship under normal use and service during the warranty period.

 

​2. What This Warranty Does Not Cover:​  This warranty does not cover any of the following:

1. Damage from Misuse, Neglect, or Accident:

  • This includes physical damage (e.g., cracks, broken connectors, burns), water damage, or corrosion on ground or due to crash landing of any flying platform.

2. Improper Installation or Handling:

  • Damage caused by incorrect installation, reverse polarity, over-voltage, ESD (electrostatic discharge), or short circuits

3. Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs:

  • Any product that has been modified, altered, or repaired by anyone not authorized by Sierra Aerospace

4. Normal Wear and Tear:

  • Deterioration of performance due to normal operational use over time.

5. Software or Firmware Issues:

  • Bugs or issues related to open-source or third-party firmware. We warranty the hardware only.

6. Consumable Parts:

  • Such as connectors or headers that may degrade over time.

7. Products Purchased from Unauthorized Sellers:

  • Products must be purchased directly from Sierra Aerospace or an authorized reseller to be eligible for warranty service.
     

3. Warranty Claim Process: To obtain service under this warranty, you must:

1. Contact Support:

  1. Before returning any product, you must first contact our customer support team at
    returns(@}sierraaerospace.in to describe the issue.

  2. If our technical team determines a return is necessary,  and your request is approved, A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is provided for initiating returns. Returns will not be accepted without this number.

2. Provide Proof of Purchase: You will be required to provide a valid proof of purchase.

3. Ship the Product:

  1. Before shipping the item back, you must provide photographs of the actual product and its packaging to ensure it is sufficiently protected for transit.

  2. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs, which is standard global practice.

 

4. Assessment: Our technicians will inspect the product to confirm if the defect is covered under this warranty.
 

5. Remedies: If the product is confirmed to be defective and covered by this warranty, Sierra Aerospace will, at its option, either:

  1. Repair the defective product, 
    or

  2. Replace the defective product with a new or refurbished unit of equivalent functionality.

  3. We will cover the cost of return shipping for the repaired or replaced unit to the original purchaser.
     

6. Limitation of Liability:

  1. This standard warranty is your sole and exclusive remedy and Sierra Aerospace's entire liability for any breach of this warranty.

  2. Sierra Aerospace shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of data, loss of time, or commercial loss, arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of the product.
     

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction:

  • This condition of shall be governed by the laws of India

  • Any disputes shall be subject exclusively to the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
     

8. Changes to This Warranty Policy: We may update this policy as deemed necessary. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Warranty Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
